歌舞伎町のトロイの木馬
今日は雨は降らなかった。夜、ふらふらと、「青い闇がささやく こんな夜は気をつけて」(「青い闇の警告/井上陽水」(1978))と、口ずさみながら、気付けばそこは、新宿歌舞伎町。路地を抜けて、映画館の前の広場に出たら、何やら、巨大な影が・・・。
「トロイの木馬だ」
凄ぇ～。高さ12m。闇に浮かび上がる古びた木材の肌触りも、ぞくぞくする。ラスベガスのフォーラムショップスの中で見た巨大トロイの木馬は無害におもちゃ化してたけれど、こいつは、それとは、全く違って、異形の物がズトンと現れた凄みがある。ちょっと、興奮した。
でも、昼間、明るい所で、見たら、案外、安っぽかったりするのかな。
ブラッド・ピット主演の映画「トロイ」の公開に合わせた展示らしい。実際にロケで使った物だという。梅雨時に日本に持ってこられちゃって、木材も濡れ濡れになっちゃって可愛そうにと、思ったら、実は、鋼とグラスファイバーで出来てるそうだ。良く出来てる。
中に入りたくなったが、流石に、フェンスで仕切られていて、おまけに、しっかり、警備員が常駐して、悪さしないか、見張っていた。いや、でも、歌舞伎町だからね。週末、酔っ払った若者は、何するか判らないぞ。今日、木曜日は、酔っ払ったおじさんが大の字になって寝てるだけだったけど。今月末まで、設置してるらしい。また、もう一回、見に来ようっと。
